What do we offer at Rishikeshyttc?

We offer 200 hours Yoga T.T.C & retreats which last 7 and 15 days.

What do we teach during the YTTC?

Our goal is to cover the 28 days program with maximum efficiency.
Yoga

You will be taught the following forms of yoga: Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Flow yoga and Advanced Yoga. Our teachers will give you the detailed information about each of these yoga types, significance and benefits.
Meditation

You will have daily classes on different types of meditation, like chakra cleansing, silent meditation, candle meditation, and more.
Pranayama

Learning about the breath is one of the most important aspects of the yoga teacher training course, as it has a very powerful influence on health. Through Pranayama, we will teach you to how to control your breath, understand how you breathe, and how you can modify it for optimal health benefits as a yogi.
Mudra

The mudras clear the whole body. Mudras help to prevent your body and mind from all the negative energy while refining them.
Theory

During the YTTC we will concentrate not only on the asana practice, but also on theoretical subjects such as Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy, Ayurveda, Ayurvedic Therapies, Foot Reflexology, Shiatsu Therapy, and proper transitions in and out of postures. This will give you additional knowledge and you will be able to help others who are suffering from diabetes, joints condition, migraine, poor blood circulation and psoriasis (skin problem) through Yoga and Ayurveda.
Ayurveda

We will teach you about 7 types of dhatus, 5 types of elements, and 7 types of chakras. We will guide you on how to control your body and mind.

Is it necessary to have information about yoga before starting the training course?

It is better if you have additional knowledge about yoga or meditation. It will help you obtain the new information better and improve upon your prior knowledge. However, it is not compulsory to have information about yoga before you start the course.

How many students are included in one group?

Each and every student receives personal attention and individualized care at our school. In order to provide this, we keep groups from 15 to a maximum of 20 students.

Is there a final exam to get the certificate?

Yes. During the whole TTC you will commit to a rigorous, yet rewarding practice. With the help of our experienced teachers and your hard work, you will gain deep knowledge about yoga and will be fully prepared to handle any class. After 27 days all students in the group will have a final exam, which will be conducted by Buddha Yog Peeth teachers. Their valuable feedback will place you on the right path to become a professional yoga teacher.

Which type of certificate will I get once I complete the course?

You will be provided with the Yoga Alliance USA certificate, which proves that you have successfully completed your course with Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center.

Are all the teachers at Rishikeshyttc certified and experienced?

All the teachers at Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center are highly qualified and experienced. They have national and international experience from different desirable destinations, such as Seychelles (Desroches Island) and United Arab Emirates (Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa, and Zaya Nurai Island, Abu Dhabi).

What kind of accommodation do you offer?

We offer two kinds of accommodation for our students: single or sharing room. The choice depends on their needs.

Can I stay at the accommodation longer than my teacher training or visit there earlier than it starts? How many days?

Yes. We will be happy to assist you and accommodate for 2-3 days before or after the course, but we advise you to inform us about it in advance, so that we will be able to make arrangements for you.

Can I have visitors during my course and stay in Rishikesh?

As per RishikeshYTTC rules and regulations, you are allowed to have visitors but not after 10 pm. We request you to follow all the disciplinary rules and respect others in the ashram at all times. Upon arrival to the accommodation, your visitors will be asked to present the appropriate documents or ID proof.

What are the facilities in the room?

The accommodation is a quiet building with all the facilities you will need during your course. Each student will be provided with a room (single or sharing) with attached bathroom, cupboard and coffee table. You may decide how to furnish your room, but please ensure no damages to the accommodation. Amenities include:

  • Hot and cold water
  • Free Wi-Fi
  • Weekly housekeeping service
What are the main behavioral rules of the school?

During your YTTC you will fully immerse yourself in a yogic lifestyle & detoxification program. As students of Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center and future yoga teachers, you will be expected to refrain from smoking, drinking, and illicit drug use. Not only will use of these substances be considered a violation of the school’s code but will also negatively affect your yogic practice and health. Any violation within the school premises will be considered illegal and appropriate steps will be taken to prevent our students from the similar situations.

If you would like to be back to the accommodation at a later time, please inform the responsible staff about it, as the school gate closes at 11 pm. In this case, the person responsible will be aware and let you in once you return.

What kind of food is provided in RishikeshYTTC?

RishikeshYTTC offers very healthy and high protein food for all students. During the entire TTC, the carefully crafted meals will play a significant role on your health. You will follow the yogic diet with fruits, vegetables, greens and herbs, which will help you kick-start a healthy lifestyle and stay in proper shape.

About the portions, we don’t have a determined portion for each person. You may take as much food as you wish, but remember that too much food before the practice may be harmful for your stomach and will not let you feel comfortable during the whole day.

Do you offer non vegetarian food as well?

No, we do not offer non-vegetarian food (all kinds of meat). At Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center we follow the principles of yoga and yogic life, which suggest “ahimsa” or “non-violence”.

However, out of school, there are many places where you will find non-vegetarian food.

Do you offer special food for those who have problems with health?

Yes. In case our students have health restrictions and need special food, we are able to offer them alternate options such as vegan or gluten-free meals. We strive to provide you with the best conditions to enjoy your stay with us.

Are the students allowed to eat at outside restaurants?

You are allowed to have your meals outside, but we request you to inform us in advance so that we will prepare enough food for the group and it will not waste it.

Which airport is the nearest to travel to your place?

India has four international airports, located in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkatta. But the nearest to Rishikesh is Delhi Airport which is called Indira Gandhi International Airport. If you are coming directly to India, we would advise you to fly to this airport and from there you may take a direct flight to Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun.

Will I get the transportation to/from RIshikeshYTTC?

Yes. We do offer transportation from Delhi and Dehradun airport. This will include extra charges. You will have to send to us all travels details in advance so that we can arrange everything on time.

How to reach to RishkeshYTTC from the other parts of India?

Our school is situated in very famous and holistic place in Rishikesh, India. It is known as the main city of Yoga.

You can reach to Rishikesh by following these options:

  • Airways-After international airport in Delhi, from there you have to go to the 1 level down and you will entered in domestic Airport section, from there you will you’re your direct flight coming to the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun.
  • Roadways (Bus)-There are 24 hours operating buses running to Rishikesh and from Rishikesh to other places. In the case you have to wait for the bus or the bus is delayed, you may choose Dehradun or Haridwar, which are the main hubs close to Rishikesh.
  • Railways-The nearest railway station is the Haridwar Junction train station. From there you will find many buses, taxis and other transportation services running to Rishikesh.
What time is more convenient to land or fly from the airport near Rishikesh?

You will be able to land or fly from the airport at any time you prefer. We will provide you with the transportation 24 hours.

Do you provide transportation for sightseeing?

Yes. We do provide transportation to the nearest places to visit. You will be provided with the schedule upon arrival.

Will the students have the option to rent a motorbike or scooty to move in the city?

Yes, in Rishikesh we have also that option. School management will assist you to rent the transportation necessary for your travel throughout Rishikesh.

What kind of sightseeing is there in Rishikesh?

The nearby places to visit around the city are:

  • Kunjapuri Temple: Situated in lush green mountains
  • Parmarth Niketan Ashram: One of the oldest ashrams in Rishikesh where you can see all the old monks and saints meditating. Around 7pm every evening, they arrange a huge Ganga Aarti (prayer to the Holy Ganga).
  • Bhadrakali temple

Is it safe place for foreigners to visit and stay?

In India, like in every country, there are places not safe for visiting. But Rishikesh is a very safe city. In the holy land with less crowd and helpful people, you will find a hospitable & friendly atmosphere. You will have the chance to go out and explore all the interesting places. Rishikesh is very safe for both men and women. The local people and the tourists create a friendly place and live in peace and harmony.

What is the quality of drinking water in Rishikesh?

At RishikeshYTTC, we use pure filtered water for drinking as well as for cooking. We advise you to check the water before drinking in all the other places. Also, avoid drinking water from the faucet or a free flowing spring.

Are there mosquitoes in Rishikesh and what kind of steps should be taken to prevent from mosquito bites?

No one is safe from these situations. But in Rishikesh we don’t have too many mosquitoes because of the weather and cleanliness. To secure yourself, we advise you to take all the necessary measures before your arrival. This will help you to avoid unforeseen situations and enjoy each day and spent in Rishikesh.

Am I allowed to bring medicine with me to India?

The school will provide you with the first aid staff, in case you need it. However if you find it necessary to bring with you some medicine like antiseptic cream, medicine for flu, antibiotics, etc., you are allowed to bring and carry it.

Do you have highly qualified hospitals?

Yes, Rishikesh has good hospitals and professional doctors, who are ready to help whenever is needed.
