Sanjeev Semwal
Yoga Alliance: E-RYT® 500, RPYT®, YACEP®
Founder of Rishikesh YTTC
Yoga Educator, Meditation & Sadhana Practitioner
Born and raised in Rishikesh, the spiritual heartland of Yoga, Sanjeev Semwal has been walking the yogic path since the age of thirteen. His journey began under the guidance of his maternal grandfather, a respected Pandit and Acharya deeply experienced in Mantra Vidya, Yoga, meditation and spiritual practices.
In 2016, Sanjeev returned to Rishikesh and founded Rishikesh Yoga Teacher Training Center (Rishikesh YTTC). Since then, he has helped educate 13,000+ students from India and around the world, creating a space where traditional yogic knowledge can be experienced in a practical and authentic way.
Over the years he continued his studies in Hatha Yoga and traditional Yoga, receiving formal education at one of the oldest yoga ashrams in Rishikesh. He later travelled to Kerala to deepen his knowledge of Ayurveda, Panchakarma, wellness and traditional therapies.
His professional journey took him internationally, where he worked as a Yoga and Wellness professional at renowned luxury destinations including Desroches Island (Seychelles), Sofitel The Palm Dubai and Zaya Nurai Island (Abu Dhabi). This experience allowed him to share the wisdom of Yoga with people from many cultures while gaining an international perspective on wellness.
A significant part of Sanjeev's journey has been shaped by his Gurudev, a respected spiritual master and Mahamandaleshwar. Through close association with his Guru, he has continued to deepen his personal practice of meditation, mantra and sadhana. Today, while Rishikesh YTTC continues its work through its dedicated team, Sanjeev spends an increasing part of his personal time in Maths and temples, serving his Guru and the spiritual community, while continuing his own meditation and sadhana.
Seva. Seva is an important part of his life. Through the yoga school and its community, he has supported temples, underprivileged children and families, providing educational materials, books, school bags, clothing and other essential resources. Support has also reached children in small villages of Tehri Garhwal, along with occasional food distribution for people in need.
His vision. Sanjeev's vision is to help Yoga, meditation and the spirit of sadhana and seva reach homes across India and the world. His long-term dream is to create a place dedicated to education, spiritual growth and seva, where children can learn Yoga and meditation, elderly people can receive care, and sincere seekers can continue their inner journey.
Learn. Practise. Experience. Serve.
“A special mention to Sanjeev Ji, the owner of the YTTC, for his excellent management, constant support, and personal involvement, which made the entire journey smooth and memorable.”
